An event campaign promoting a fictional gallery exhibition that features art created by women, of women. I personally curated a collection of 16 pieces for this fictional exhibition, divided into themes of “Mother,” “Companion,” “Fighter,” and “Lover,” across poetry, painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. A 46-page exhibition catalog and a series of four promotional postcards for the event follow the same bold, warm design guidelines. Inspired by the genre of chick lit, these print pieces incorporate warm analagous colors, flat patterns, graphic silhouette illustrations, contrast of scale, and a trio of script, soft serif, and clean sans-serif typefaces. Designing a book layout almost entirely focused on imagery, rather than typography, was a new challenge for me; however, the strength of this campaign comes from how I was able to visually unify these disparate art pieces.
